    Immanuel Lutheran Church located on North Highway 11 in Atkinson will be having their LWML Soup Supper and Bake Sale on Thursday, November 6th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. They will be serving various kinds of soups, along with salads and pies. Proceeds from this evening will go towards the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) Funding of Mission Service Projects.

    Jessen’s Family Dentistry and Dental Hygiene in O’Neill, Nebraska will offer free dental care to veterans on Friday, November 7th from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM. They’ll provide exams and hygiene care, x-rays, fillings, and extractions for free. Veterans are asked to please call 402-336-4812 to make an appointment.   • November 7

    EPiC Ministry will be hosting their “Friends of Freedom” banquet on Friday, November 7th at the Wakefield Civic Center. Doors will open at 5:00 PM with the event starting at 6:00 PM. The evening will include a meal, an auction, and feature Christian Comedian Brad Stine. All are invited to come hear what God is doing in the lives of men and women behind bars.     Crowder, Zach Williams, and Matt Maher will be in concert in Sioux City, Iowa on Friday, November 7th! The concert takes place at the Tyson Events Center at 7:00 p.m. More details are available online at CrowderMusic.com.

    Calvary Baptist Church in Yankton, South Dakota is hosting a men’s conference featuring guest speaker Andrew Varvoutis from 9:00 until 1:30 on Saturday, November 8th. The cost is $10 and includes both breakfast and lunch. More information is available by calling 605-665-5594.

  • November 8 & 9

    A Disciple-Making Parent Weekend will be held on November 8th and 9th at Faith Community Church in O'Neill. Parents, grandparents, and caregivers are invited to this conference which will help families to grow in faith. National speaker and author Chap Bettis, founder of The Disciple-Making Parent, will share biblical wisdom and practical tools for raising children who love and follow Jesus. On Saturday, November 8th the conference will run from 8:30 a.m. utnil two p.m. Lunch will be provided. There's no cost to attend, but registration is required at OneillFCC.org.

    The next Norfolk Women's Connection luncheon will be held at noon on Tuesday, November 11th at the Norfolk Country Club. Ivan Petersen will share about his beekeeping business. Andrea Kipp will provide the music and author Joyce Buseman will tell about her story of restoration after a personal tragedy. Reservations are due by Wednesday, November 5th.     The next Yankton Area Women's Connection dinner meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11th at Yankton’s River Rock Event Center.
    Artist Jolene Steffen will talk about how she uses God's gifts to live creatively. Joyce Buseman will present a message called “Insurance for a Secure Future.” This meeting will provide women of all ages an opportunity to encourage and inspire one another while enjoying a fun time of fellowship and friendship. The cost is $15. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 402-254-2102 by November 10.

    Sandhills MomCo (formerly known as MOPS) will have their next gathering on Thursday, November 13th in Burwell, Nebraska! This year's theme is "Make It Awkward" inspired by Luke 5:1-11. All moms are welcome. Sandhills MomCo meets at Calamus Trinity Methodist Church at 9:30 AM on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. Each meet-up covers a different topic and stands alone. Childcare is also provided and there's no cost to attend. More information is available on the Sandhills MomCo Facebook page.

    The Royal Nebraska Fire Department will hold their annual pancake & sausage supper from 5:00 until 7:30 p.m. on Friday, November 14th at the Royal Auditorium. The only cost is a free will donation. All proceeds will be used to buy fire equipment.

    New Hope Christian Camp near Platte, South Dakota will host their annual banquet on Friday, November 14th at 6:00 PM. The evening will consist of appetizers, dinner, worship, and a New Hope Camp update. Pastor Dave Martin of Platte will be the guest speaker. Reservations are needed.     The 15th Annual Nebraska Christian Women's Conference for all ladies from 12 years of age and older will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15th at the Nielsen Community Center in West Point. Doors open at 8:30. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. Melissa Griffin will be the speaker. She has a heart for God's Word and a passion to encourage women in every season of life.     Light of the World Gospel Ministries in Walthill, Nebraska, will celebrate its 18th anniversary on Sunday, November 16th! Pastor Tim Mcilwrath from Northern Ireland will be the guest speaker. A morning and evening celebration service will take place at the Rosalie town hall in Rosalie, Nebraska at 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with a potluck to follow the evening service. The Rosalie town hall is located at 213 Farley Avenue. Everyone is welcome to come celebrate all that God has done through Light of the World Gospel Ministries over the past 18 years!   • November 16

    The Friends of the O'Neill Library will present their annual Dinner & the Arts Program on November 16th. Participants will relive the western days with western songs and skits performed by the North Central Nebraska Arts Council while enjoying a western meal of brisket, beans, potato salad, and apple crisp. The entertainment will begin at 6:00 PM at the O'Neill Community Center. Participants are asked to dress in western attire. The proceeds will be donated to the NCNAC to fund local arts programs. Tickets are available at the O'Neill library.

    The ‘Don’t Stop Praying for America Tour’ with Matthew West and Peter Burton is coming to Rapid City, South Dakota on Tuesday, November 18th. The concert will take place at The Monument at 7:00 p.m. local time. More information and ticket details can be found at MatthewWest.com.

  • November 21

    The Evangelical Covenant Church in Wausa, Nebraska will have their annual Men’s Oyster Stew and Chili Supper on Friday, November 21st at 6:30 PM. David Badley, Chaplain of EPIC, a jail and prison ministry, will be the guest speaker. The meal will cost $12.00 for adults and $6.00 for boys kindergarten through 6th grade.     LifeLight will be bringing their Z8 Worship Night to the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center in Yankton, South Dakota on Saturday, November 22nd at 7:00 PM. This free event is dedicated to inspiring and motivating young people through the Gospel and worship. LifeLight’s Z8 Initiative brings together youth and young adults, across denominational lines, to experience Jesus in real and relevant ways, providing a place where Gen Z can gather and connect.     The Faith Keepers from Bloomfield, Nebraska will be putting on an event to help those in need in Knox County on Sunday, November 23rd from 9:30 AM until 1:30 PM at the Bloomfield Community Center. A concert by the Faith Keepers will be performed at 11:30 AM. Chili, chicken noodle soup, cinnamon rolls, corn bread, bars, and cookies will be served from 9:30 AM until 1:30 PM for a free will donation. All proceeds will benefit those in need in Knox County. There will also be a bake sale and a canned good donation drive for the Knox County Food Pantry. Any questions can be directed to Laurie Larsen at 402-640-2147.     ‘Christmas in the Round’ is a free Christmas concert taking place in Sioux City on Wednesday, December 3rd! Come hear Aaron Shust, Mark Schultz, Jon Micah Sumrall of the band Kutless, Todd Tilghman, winner of The Voice season 18, and speaker Josh Brewer for an intimate evening of Christmas songs and stories. This free concert is taking place at Restoration Church in Sioux City, Iowa. Doors open at 6:15 and the concert starts at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3rd.

    A Cozy Christmas: An Evening of Music & Poetry featuring Tanner Olson and Blake Flattley will take place at 1C | The Sanctuary in Columbus, Nebraska on Friday, December 5th. A chili and cinnamon roll feed will take place from 5:00 until 6:45 PM, with the show beginning at 7:00 PM. Both events are free with the meal being a free-will offering.     The Wayne State College President’s Holiday Gala will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 7 in Ramsey Theatre. .     There will be an afternoon to reflect, praise, and give thanks with Just The Messengers on Sunday, December 7th at God’s Country Barn in Center, Nebraska. The event will begin at 3:00 PM with food and fellowship to follow.

    The Kimball Protestant Parish in Kimball, South Dakota will have a Silent Night Retreat on Sunday, December 7th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Find clarity in the quiet and enjoy a time of stillness to connect with the Lord and "let go" of the burdens you carry as you head into the busy holiday season.     The Christmas Closet will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, December 15th at the O'Neill Community Center. A soup supper will be provided. Those attending the event will be able to choose two gifts for their loved ones. Children will also be able to shop for a parent or caregiver. Crafts and activities will be available for children while their parents shop. To make a donation for the Christmas Closet, bring your new or lightly used gift items to Good News Radio, any O'Neill Church, the Holt County Economic Development Center, Bomgaars or other local businesses.     The Clothing Closet, located at the First Christian Church in Burwell, Nebraska, is open every Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome and all clothing is free. Clothing donations are also appreciated, and in-kind donations are encouraged. They also have a diaper program and offer help to foster parents.     A new worship service at the First United Methodist Church in Columbus began on Sunday, April 27th. This new alternative service will feature Contemporary Praise and Worship music, a message, and prayer. Fellowship is at eleven with the worship service from 11:15 until noon.
