  • July 4

    The O’Neill Methodist Church will be giving out ice cream and hosting a viewing of fireworks in the O’Neill area on Friday, July 4th beginning at 7:30 PM. Everyone is encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy the fun in the church’s parking lot.

  • July 5 (Recurring)

    A men’s bible study will take place at 9:00 AM every first Saturday of the month at Teal’s Westside Diner in O’Neill, Nebraska. This study is for high schoolers on up and men from every denomination or those seeking Christ. Any questions can be directed to Pastor Bob at 402-340-2447.

  • Ongoing Sundays

    Lewis and Clark Lake Ministry will be holding Non-denominational Church Services this summer through Labor Day. They will meet at Weigand Campground on the Nebraska side each Sunday at 9:00 AM. There will also be a service at Pierson Ranch Amphitheater, Lewis & Clark Recreational Area in Yankton, SD at 10:30 AM. Any questions can be directed to Marilyn Harms at 605-274-1536.

    Camp Luther of Schuyler, Nebraska is offering weekly summer programs for youth entering the 1st through 9th grades from June 8th through August 1st. Each week is packed with outdoor adventures, meaningful worship, and new friendships — all rooted in Christ and His Word.   • July 8

    The Lewis and Clark Natural Resources District invites you to a FREE Regenerative Ag Field Day, Tuesday, July 8th from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Junior Pfanstiel Farm located near McLean, Nebraska. This event will showcase strip intercropped corn and cover crops plus soil/root pit, soil health demonstrations, and discussion on cover crop management and grazing. The event is free to attend, but an RSVP is needed for lunch, which is limited to 125 people. Registration information is available online at LCNRD.Nebraska.Gov.

    Specifically, The Junior Pfanstiel Farm is located a quarter mile north of Highway 20 on 552nd Avenue near McLean, NE.

  • July 12-13

    Camp Witness in Long Pine, Nebraska will host Special Youth Challenge’s Family Fun Days Saturday, July 12th through Sunday July 13th. Special Youth Challenge is a ministry that provides hunting opportunities for young people with special challenges- at no cost to the family. Some of the weekend events to participate in include a 3-D archery shoot, a trap shoot, a 22 shoot, and a BB and air rifle shoot. On Saturday a silent auction with take place from noon until 6:30 with the evening meal beginning at 6:00 PM. A live auction will take place at 7:00 PM. Breakfast will be served Sunday morning from 8:00 until 10:00 AM, with a church service at 10:00 AM.     Sandhills Sage in Johnstown, Nebraska is participating in the town’s ‘Summertime Junkin’ in Johnstown’ event on Saturday, July 12th from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Vendors will be lined up on main street and in the park. Sandhills Sage will be offering one-of-a-kind furniture pieces, home decor, gifts, candles, and more.

    You can find Sandhills Sage on main street in Johnstown, which is located ten miles west of Ainsworth, Nebraska.

  • July 12

    The 3rd annual ‘Faith and Family Night at the Dixon County Fair’ is taking place in Concord, Nebraska on Saturday, July 12th. The concert starts at 6:30 p.m. and will feature the returning family band Zellmer Family Ministries and the Irish band Rend Collective. The concert is free with gate admission to the fair. Children 12 and under get in completely free.

    A time of teen fellowship will take place in O’Neill on Tuesday, July 15th at the gazebo in Ford Park from 4:30 until 6:30 PM. This time of fellowship is for teens ages 13-18 who are looking to grow in their faith and have a desire to worship Christ. The book of Philippians will be studied and snacks will be provided!   • July 15 & 16

    Lauren Daigle is going to be ‘Live in Concert’ for two nights in Omaha, Nebraska. The concerts will take place at the Orpheum Theater at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 15th and 16th. More information can be found at LaurenDaigle.com.

  • July 16

    A Gideon International Field Representative from Papua New Guinea will be speaking on Wednesday, July 16th at Napoli’s in Norfolk at 12 noon. Those attending will hear about the global work of the Gideon ministry in Papua New Guinea and how God is at work there. All are invited to attend.     The Gideons International is an Association of Christian business and professional men dedicated to telling people about Jesus through associating together for service, sharing personal testimony, and by providing Bibles and New Testaments to hotels, hospitals and many other outlets.

    Grab a free burger, chips and water during O’Neill’s Cruise Night on Friday, July 18th from 5:00 until 7:30 PM. The free hamburger meal will be served in the Anson Insurance Parking lot.

  • July 19 & 20

    The FREE Christian music festival LifeLight Hills Alive is returning to Rapid City July 19th and 20th for its 40th anniversary! Saturday’s lineup includes Megan Danielle, Stephen Stanley, Austin French, Unspoken, and Sidewalk Prophets. Sunday’s performers include Eli Gable, Emerson Day, LO CLOUD (featuring former members of Sanctus Real and Kutless), Rhett Walker, and Crowder. The weekend-long festival in Rapid City’s Memorial Park seeks to share the Gospel and strengthen faith. It will also feature family-friendly activities, a variety of food vendors, and more!   • July 20

    The Southern Gospel group Legacy Five will perform at O’Neill’s Summerfest Church in the Park Concert. The free concert begins at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 20th at Ford Park in O’Neill. Bring a friend and a lawn chair. A free barbeque lunch will be served after the concert.

    In case of rain the service will be held at the O’Neill Community Center.

  • July 26

    The Fields of Grace Festival is being held in Arlington in eastern South Dakota on Saturday, July 26th. This year’s lineup includes Cochren & Company, Seph Schlueter, Cade Thompson (a Sioux Falls native), Travis Dennison, and Jamie Elizabeth.     The 3rd annual Jesus Rocks in Knox concert will take place on Wednesday, August 6th in Bloomfield, Nebraska. The event will take place at the Knox County Fairgrounds in the American Legion Pavilion beginning at 5:00 PM. The only cost is a free will donation. The lineup will include musical performances by Faith Keepers and friends, Choir of Fire, Just the Messengers, and Nashville Recording Artist Micah Christopher. Attendees are asked to please bring a lawn chair to ensure there’s enough seating.

  • August 15

    The annual Christian Music festival FaithFest is returning to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norfolk, Nebraska on Friday, August 15th from 5:00 until 10:00 p.m. It will feature performances from Jordan St. Cyr and other artists to be announced in the future.     The FREE Christian music festival Livin’ Out Loud is returning to Lake Helen in Gothenburg, Nebraska on Saturday and Sunday, August 16th & 17th. The music starts at 4:45 Saturday afternoon with performances from Tauren Wells, We Are Messengers, Charity Gale, Claire Leslie, and The Band Reeves. On Sunday, a community worship service led by The Band Reeves and a special guest will start at 10:00 a.m. For more information on the FREE festival, visit LivinOutLoud.org.

    Matthew West & Josiah Queen will perform in the Heartland Events Center at the Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island on Sunday, August 24th. More details and ticket information is available at StateFair.org.

    The Horizon Music Festival is a FREE Christian music festival taking place in Gering in western Nebraska over the Labor Day weekend (August 30 & 31). So far, the artists announced for this year’s festival include Zach Williams and Jonathan Traylor. Food vendors, kids games, and other activities will also be available at this free, family friendly festival. More information can be found online at HorizonMusicFest.org.

    LifeLight Sioux Falls is returning to Nelson Park in Sioux Falls on Sunday, August 31st! The FREE Christian music festival will feature We The Kingdom, Anne Wilson, Ben Fuller, Tenth Avenue North, Sioux Falls native Cade Thompson, Hulvey, and Josh Brewer.     CAIN is bringing their Live And In Color tour to the Lincoln Berean Church in Lincoln, Nebraska on Sunday, October 19th at 7 p.m. The tour will also include performances by Jon Reddick and Caleb & John, and speaker, author, and podcaster Annie F.   • Ongoing Fridays

    The Clothing Closet, located at the First Christian Church in Burwell, Nebraska, is open every Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome and all clothing is free. Clothing donations are also appreciated, and in-kind donations are encouraged. They also have a diaper program and offer help to foster parents.     A new worship service at the First United Methodist Church in Columbus began on Sunday, April 27th. This new alternative service will feature Contemporary Praise and Worship music, a message, and prayer. Fellowship is at eleven with the worship service from 11:15 until noon. The church is located at 3602 16th Street in Columbus.

    Third Day is getting the band back together for their 30th Anniversary Tour, and they’re coming to Kansas City, Missouri on Wednesday, April 29th, 2026.
