September 13
Faith Fest is a day of fun and faith for the whole family. It will be held from ten until four on Saturday, September 13th at the Columbus Christian School in Columbus, Nebraska. There will be live music, raffles, food, vendor tables and games. Proceeds will support the Columbus Christian School. Bring your lawn chair and your neighbors, friends and family.

September 14
Grace Haven, a partner ministry with Camp Assurance, will have a fundraiser from 2:30 until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 14th at the WJ Ranch. The ranch is located 7 miles south of Yankton, South Dakota, just off of Highway 81. There will be a pie and ice cream social, kids’ activities, carnival games and a gospel concert featuring Jan Schiferl. The only cost is a free will donation. Sept. 15th (Weekly Mondays)
Starting Monday, September 15th, Grief Share support group meetings will be held at 6:30 every Monday night at Northern Heights Baptist Church in Norfolk, Nebraska. These meetings will continue through the end of the year. If you have any questions, please call the church office or Carrie 402 640 4874.

September 16 (RSVP by Sept. 10)
The next Norfolk Women's Connection luncheon will be held at noon on Tuesday, September 16th at the Norfolk Country Club. Alan and Loretta Sorensen will talk about farming with horses. They will also present a message titled "Relentless Love". Connie Jessen will provide the music. Reservations are needed by Wednesday, September 10th by calling or texting Vivian at 402-992-7692. The cost for the program and the meal is $18.

September 16 (RSVP by Sept. 14)
The next Yankton Area Women’s Connection dinner meeting is taking place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16th, at the River Rock Event Center. “Relentless Love” is the theme for this annual guest night, and women are encouraged to bring their husbands, partners, or friends for a heartfelt gathering of fellowship, stories, and shared experiences. Following a meal, local couple Alan and Loretta Sorensen will give a presentation on Belgian draft horses and an inspirational talk sharing how their hearts have been transformed by faith over the years. The cost for the dinner meeting is $15 per person. Reservations are required by Sunday, September 14th and can be made by calling 402-254-2102 or 605-660-0378.

September 19
There will be a benefit supper and auction for Joshua Borntrager in rural Orchard, Nebraska on Friday, September 19th. The meal will be served for a freewill donation from 4:00 until 7:00, and carry-outs are available. The menu includes grilled chicken, hot dogs, mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, coleslaw, potato salad, homemade bread, homemade ice cream, and pie. The auction features basket raffles and starts at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds will help Joshua Borntrager cover ER medical bills and Life Flight bills. The benefit is taking place at Emannuel and Lizzie Lambright’s place northeast of Orchard, at 86501 514th Avenue, about two miles north of Highway 20.

September 23rd
There will be a LifeServe ‘Battle of the Badges’ blood drive at the Spink County EMS Center in Redfield, South Dakota on Tuesday, September 23rd from 12:00 until 5:30. You can choose to contribute your donation to EMS, the fire department, or the county sheriff department. All blood that is donated will be given back to the community. Appointments are encouraged, and more information can be found online at LifeServeBloodCenter.org.

September 24
The Todd Becker Foundation will bring their presentation, “Hear the Story. Be Moved.” to Wagner High School on Wednesday, September 24th. The free event will take place in the gymnasium at 7:00 PM, with doors opening at 6:40 PM. The night will feature a live concert from the band “All the Noise”, followed by an impactful and life-changing message from Keith Becker. For more information, please visit www.toddbecker.org.
Started in Kearney, NE, the Todd Becker Foundation was created in the spring of 2005 following the tragic death of 18-year-old high school student, Todd Becker, in an alcohol-related car accident. Keith, who was the older brother of Todd Becker, unfolds the true, and life-changing story of his younger brother’s untimely death and the events shortly thereafter that changed his own life. Since 2005, the Todd Becker Foundation’s assembly and outreach program has reached close to 100,000 students in over 500 high schools across the nation.

Sandhills MomCo (formerly known as MOPS) will have their next gathering on Thursday, September 25th in Burwell, Nebraska! This year's theme is "Make It Awkward" inspired by Luke 5:1-11. All moms are welcome. Sandhills MomCo meets at Calamus Trinity Methodist Church at 9:30 AM on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. Each meet-up covers a different topic and stands alone. "Building the Kingdom Together" is a Fall Women's Event which will be held from 5:45 until 8:10 p.m. on Thursday, September 25th at the First Baptist Church in Norfolk. There will be food, and fellowship. Traci Gaylor will be talking about Building Blocks foster care and Fae Dunn will explain how to make a difference no matter your age. The Walking with the Lord Conference called "The Walk" will be held from nine until three on Saturday, September 27th at the Elgin Community Christian Church. Peter Sample, Ben Burris, Rich Frantz and Mark Hoffman will be the speakers. Their goal is to help participants develop a renewed passion for Lord. The event is free and lunch will be provided. The Hamill, South Dakota Horseman's Club will be hosting a trail ride and benefit supper on Saturday, September 27th in Hamill. The trail ride will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Hamill Arena. The benefit supper will start at 5:30 p.m. and will be followed by a pie auction. All proceeds will go to Shara McCall and Rita Pravacek to help them in their battle against cancer. SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Clarkson, NE is holding a Parish Fall Fest on Sunday, September 28th. From 11:00 until 1:00 they will be serving chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, fruit salad, rolls, and desserts will be served at the St. John Neumann Hall at 420 Cherry Street. Activities include a cash raffle, quilt raffle, country store, bottle bonanza, games for the kids, and a silent auction of many unique baskets and other auction items. A live auction will begin at 1:15 PM. Admission for the Parish Fall Fest is $15 for adults, $7 for children 6-12 years old, and kids 5 and under will get in free.

A men’s bible study will take place at 9:00 AM every first Saturday of the month at Teal’s Westside Diner in O’Neill, Nebraska. This study is for high schoolers on up and men from every denomination or those seeking Christ. Any questions can be directed to Pastor Bob at 402-340-2447.

The Grammy nominated and Dove Award winning group Karen Peck and New River are coming to the Prairie View Gospel Barn of Gregory, South Dakota, on Sunday October 5th. This southern gospel mixed group from Georgia will perform at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 5:00 with a smoked pork loin meal available at the concession stand. Lifestyle Christianity is hosting a two-day equipping and training event called ‘Power and Love’ at Best Western Plus Ramkota Hotel in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Friday and Saturday, October 10th and 11th. This nationwide event is open to believers of all ages and backgrounds. Each training is composed of worship and teaching, and includes four outreaches where attendees become the hands and feet of Jesus and share the Gospel everywhere they go! The Clothing Closet, located at the First Christian Church in Burwell, Nebraska, is open every Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome and all clothing is free. Clothing donations are also appreciated, and in-kind donations are encouraged. They also have a diaper program and offer help to foster parents. A new worship service at the First United Methodist Church in Columbus began on Sunday, April 27th. This new alternative service will feature Contemporary Praise and Worship music, a message, and prayer. Fellowship is at eleven with the worship service from 11:15 until noon. The church is located at 3602 16th Street in Columbus.
