Weekly thru August 1
Camp Luther of Schuyler, Nebraska is offering weekly summer programs for youth entering the 1st through 9th grades from June 8th through August 1st. Each week is packed with outdoor adventures, meaningful worship, and new friendships — all rooted in Christ and His Word. June 12 & 13
The Verdigre Community Chorus invites you to their Kolach Days performances, called "All Roads Lead to Nashville". The first will be held Thursday, June 12th, with a repeat performance on Friday, June 13th. Both shows will be held at 7:00 pm at the Verdigre Public School Gym. General admission is $10, and children under 12 will be $5. Reserved seating costs $12 and is available by calling Wilma at 402-358-0724.
The chorus, under the direction of Laurel Johnson, and accompanied by Nancy Pavelka, has twenty-five members participating in this year's Kolach Days performances. Besides Verdigre, members travel from Creighton, Bloomfield, Niobrara, and Osmond. They ask that you come dressed in your best western wear and enjoy some down-home, country-western music that will put a smile on your face and a song in your heart.

June 14
Grab a free burger, chips, and water during O’Neill’s City Wide garage sales on Saturday, June 14th. The free hamburger meal will be served in the Anson Insurance Parking lot.

June 15
There will be no church service at the Atkinson Presbyterian Church or Stuart Community Church on June 15th. ‘Camp Sunday’ church service will be held at Cleveland Bible Camp of rural Stuart at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Wayne Owens, followed by a potluck dinner held in the dining hall. Everyone is welcome.
Cleveland Bible Camp is located 14 miles north and two miles west of Stuart, NE.

June 17 (Reserve by June 15)
‘Life is a Picnic’ is the theme for the next Yankton Area Women’s Connection dinner meeting, a time of fellowship and friendship for women of all ages. It will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17th at the River Rocks Event Center. Patti Stahl of Freeman will share information about Operation Christmas Child, an international shoebox child sponsorship program. The meeting will also feature a meal, violin music by Sephora and Selena Nguyen of Yankton, and speaker Pam Schram of Ponca, Nebraska, who will give a presentation called ‘No Fear! Well, Most of the Time.’ Reservations cost $15 and must be made by June 15th by calling or texting 605-660-0378.

Ongoing Sundays
Lewis and Clark Lake Ministry will be holding Non-denominational Church Services this summer through Labor Day. They will meet at Weigand Campground on the Nebraska side each Sunday at 9:00 AM. There will also be a service at Pierson Ranch Amphitheater, Lewis & Clark Recreational Area in Yankton, SD at 10:30 AM. Any questions can be directed to Marilyn Harms at 605-274-1536.

June 16-28
Bethesda Mini Camp in Winnetoon will hold a variety of camps in the month of June. An Overnight Camp for students entering Grades 4 through 8 will be held June 16th through the 19th. June 24th through the 26th will be the dates for a Day Camp for students entering the 2nd and 3rd grades, and finally teen camp for students entering grades 7 through 12 will be held on June 27th through the 28th. ‘Looking Younger’ is the theme for the next Norfolk Area Women’s Connection lunch meeting. It takes place at 12:00 p.m. Noon on Tuesday, June 17th at the Norfolk Country Club. Pam Schram of Ponca will give a presentation called ‘How to Feel Like a Princess When You’ve Lost Your Crown!” She will share health and beauty tips she learned while preparing for the Mrs. Nebraska pageant. Eighth grader Tatum Sorenson of Norfolk will provide the music. Pam will also present her message called ‘No Fear! Well, Most of the Time,’ sharing how she was adopted as a baby, and found her biological family 40 years later. Reservations for the meal and program cost $18 and must be made by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11 by calling or texting Vivian at 402-992-7692.

This time of fellowship is for teens ages 13-18 who are looking to grow in their faith and have a desire to worship Christ. The book of Philippians will be studied and snacks will be provided! June 19
The Norfolk Police and Fire Divisions are set to battle it out again to help the American Red Cross replenish its blood supply with a ‘Battle of the Badges’ blood drive. It’s taking place on Thursday, June 19th from 11:00 until 5:00 at Fire Station 1 in Norfolk. People are encouraged to give blood and credit their donation to either the police or fire division. All blood types are needed. You can donate if you are in good health, at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and want to potentially save up to three lives with a single pint of blood. Appointments can be made online at RedCross.org.

RiseFest is a two-day Christian Music Festival taking place in the northwest Iowa town of Sheldon on June 20th and 21st. Friday’s performers include Allison Eide, Patrick Mayberry, Rend Collective, speaker Greg Stier, and Matthew West. Saturday’s lineup includes NWC Worship, Dordt Worship, Megan Woods, Sunnybrook Worship, rapper KB, Crowder, speaker Rob Roozeboom, and Chris Tomlin. In addition to the music, RiseFest will offer seminars, activities for kids of all ages, ministry outreach, camping, and more. Details are available online at RiseMinistries.com.

June 22
The Northeast Nebraska Farm Toy Show is taking place Sunday, June 22nd from 9:00 until 3:30 at Lutheran High Northeast in Norfolk. Vendors will be offering all manner of farm toys, semis, cars, and trucks. Admission is $3 and kids 11 and under get in free. Door prizes and concessions from the FFA chapter will be available.

Award-winning country and gospel artist Chris Golden will be in concert at the Prairie View Gospel Barn in Gregory, South Dakota on Sunday, June 22nd. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and the concert starts at 6:30. Advance tickets cost $25 and are available at BankWest in Gregory or by calling Geoff at 605-830-1545. Children 10 and under get in free.

A Walking Taco Benefit for Virg and Karen Reiser will take place on Friday, June 27th from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Butte Community Bible Church in Butte, Nebraska. The church is located at 501 Park Street in Butte, Nebraska.

Church in the Park will take place in the Butte City Park in Butte, Nebraska on Sunday, June 29th at 10:00 AM. A potluck meal will follow. All are invited to bring your lawn chair and enjoy the music ministry of Gage and Lauren Kirwan!

The 3rd annual ‘Faith and Family Night at the Dixon County Fair’ is taking place in Concord, Nebraska on Saturday, July 12th. The concert will feature the returning family band Zellmer Family Ministries and the Irish band Rend Collective. The FREE Christian music festival LifeLight Hills Alive is returning to Rapid City July 19th and 20th for its 40th anniversary! Saturday’s lineup includes Megan Danielle, Stephen Stanley, Austin French, Unspoken, and Sidewalk Prophets. Sunday’s performers include Eli Gable, Emerson Day, LO CLOUD (featuring former members of Sanctus Real and Kutless), Rhett Walker, and Crowder. The weekend-long festival in Rapid City’s Memorial Park seeks to share the Gospel and strengthen faith. It will also feature family-friendly activities, a variety of food vendors, and more! The Fields of Grace Festival is being held in Arlington in eastern South Dakota on Saturday, July 26th. The annual Christian Music festival FaithFest is returning to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norfolk, Nebraska on Friday, August 15th from 5:00 until 10:00 p.m. It will feature performances from Jordan St. Cyr and other artists to be announced in the future. LifeLight Sioux Falls is returning to Nelson Park in Sioux Falls on Sunday, August 31st! Ongoing Fridays
The Clothing Closet, located at the First Christian Church in Burwell, Nebraska, is open every Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome and all clothing is free. Clothing donations are also appreciated, and in-kind donations are encouraged. They also have a diaper program and offer help to foster parents. Ongoing Event
A new worship service at the First United Methodist Church in Columbus began on Sunday, April 27th. This new alternative service will feature Contemporary Praise and Worship music, a message, and prayer. Fellowship is at eleven with the worship service from 11:15 until noon. The church is located at 3602 16th Street in Columbus.
