    Practice for Kolach Days performances by the Verdigre Community Chorus have begun! The practices take place in the Verdigre Public School music room. Everyone is invited to join. The cut-off to join is March 16th. Any questions can be directed to Laurel Johnson at 402-750-5779.

    The Rodeo Theatre will be showing MercyMe’s new movie "I Can Only Imagine 2" this weekend in Burwell, Nebraska. Showtimes will be Friday & Saturday at 8:00 PM, and Sunday and Monday at 7:00 PM.

    A men’s bible study will take place at 9:00 AM every first Saturday of the month at Teal’s Westside Diner in O’Neill, Nebraska. This study is for high schoolers on up and men from every denomination or those seeking Christ. Any questions can be directed to Pastor Bob at 402-340-2447.

    An Acoustic Evening with Sidewalk Prophets will be coming to Florence, South Dakota on Thursday, March 12th. The concert will take place at 7:00 PM at the Joy Ranch of South Dakota. Additional details can be found online at SidewalkProphets.com!

    Sandhills MomCo (formerly known as MOPS) will have their next gathering on Thursday, March 12th in Burwell, Nebraska! This year's theme is "Make It Awkward" inspired by Luke 5:1-11. All moms are welcome. Sandhills MomCo meets at Calamus Trinity Methodist Church at 9:30 AM on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. Each meet-up covers a different topic and stands alone.     A “Spud Fest” Baked Potato Bar will take place at the O’Neill Assembly of God Church on Friday, March 13th from 5:00 until 7:30 PM. The church is located at 204 North 7th Street in O’Neill, Nebraska.

    Comedian Jonnie W. will perform a free show at the O’Neill Community Center on Friday, March 13th at 7:00 PM. Combining music, off-beat standup, and a skewed view of the world, Jonnie crafts a comedy experience that you and your family will be quoting in the car on the way home.     A pancake and sausage feed sponsored by the O’Neill Methodist Church will take place at the Society 36 Building in O’Neill, Nebraska on Saturday, March 14th from 7:00 AM until Noon. The only cost is a free will donation.

    The C.L.A.S.S. Homeschool Group is a Christ-Centered Learning and Support System. They will be having a Kid's Carnival right after the St. Patrick's Parade in O'Neill. It will be held from two until four on Saturday, March 14th at the Faith Community Church Solid Rock Youth Center located at 415 North 9th Street in O'Neill. There will be around 20 various carnival games including Plinko, Putt Putt Golf, Horse rides, Face painting and prizes. A concession stand with nachos, walking tacos, hot dogs, baked goodies and cotton candy. It will be great fun for the whole family.

    A mattress fundraiser benefiting the Wausa Evangelical Covenant Church’s Every-Kid-A-Camper Program will take place on Saturday, March 14th from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM at the Wausa Auditorium. Proceeds from the event will help send kids to church camp this summer! More information is available by calling the church at 402-586-2582.

    An afternoon with Southern Gospel group, Legacy 5 will take place at the Prairie View Gospel Barn in Gregory, South Dakota on Sunday, March 15th. Doors will open at 2:00 PM, with the concert beginning at 3:00 PM. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 the day of the concert.     St John The Baptist of rural Clearwater, Nebraska is having their annual fish fry Friday, March 20th from 5:00 until 8:30 PM. They’ll be serving 3 kinds of fish, 3 kinds of potatoes, Mac & Cheese, Homemade Desserts, Salads and Dinner Rolls. The only cost is a freewill offering.     High school students through one year post-graduation are invited to Siouxland Teens Encounter Christ, a life-changing, interdenominational weekend retreat led by teens with adult support. This retreat will take place at Calvary Baptist Church in Yankton, South Dakota. The weekend includes worship, prayer, peer testimonies, Christian music, and opportunities to grow deeper in faith and community. The weekend retreat begins Friday, March 20th at 4:30 PM and will conclude on Sunday, March 22 at 6:00 PM. More information is available at siouxlandtec.com.

    The Todd Becker Foundation’s annual STINT Discipleship Weekend will be held Friday, March 20th through Saturday, March 21st in Kearney, Nebraska. The theme this year is “In His Image”. This youth conference will provide high school students with two days of biblical teaching and moments of worship, with sessions like “Evolution VS Christianity: Finding a Foundation for our Identity”, & “In His Image: Standing for the Unborn”.     St. Peter Lutheran Church in Orchard, Nebraska will host their annual Windsor Loin Supper on Saturday, March 21st from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.     The O’Neill Methodist Church is hosting a pastor Q & A on Monday, March 23rd from 6:30 until 7:30 PM. This is your chance to ask a pastor anything about faith, religion, the Bible, you name it! The church is located at 404 West Cedar Street in O’Neill, Nebraska.

    The national ministry, Ratio Christi, is bringing their 200-year-old Hebrew Torah Scroll to the Wausa, Nebraska high school gym! This scroll display provides a wonderful chance to see a piece of biblical history, learn what the process of the transmission of Scripture looked like, and answer questions like "Is the Bible a reliable source of truth?" "Have errors, myths, and legends been added into the Bible?" and "How did we get the Bible we have today?"  This will be an engaging evening with opportunities for you to ask your questions about the Bible and learn how to respond to hard questions with clarity and confidence. The public will be able to view the 200-year-old Hebrew Torah Scroll beginning at 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 26th. You’ll also be able to connect with other Christian Ministries from around the area! Wausa Public School is located at 300 South Bismark Street in Wausa, Nebraska. A free will offering will be taken up for Ratio Christi.

    *Ratio Christi provides training for college and high school students in apologetics, philosophy, and evangelism. They equip students with the reasons and evidence for the truth of Christianity so that they can effectively engage with and respond to the hardest questions brought against Christianity with clarity, confidence, and grace.     Camp Assurance’s Annual Supper and Auction will take place on Saturday, March 28th from 4:30 until 7:30 PM at the Wayne City Auditorium. Those who attend the evening will enjoy a nice meal, while learning more about Camp Assurance, hearing testimonies from campers and staff, and finding out how to partner with the camp! Sponsored by the Norfolk Men’s Forum, the evening will be a powerful night filled with encouragement from Tim Tebow, and focused on faith, hope, and prayer for the Norfolk community.   • Ongoing Sundays

    A teens bible study will take place every Sunday evening at the O’Neill Methodist Church starting on January 11th. The Bible study with Pastor Bob Wynn will meet from 6:30 until 7:15 PM. All ages from 13 to 19 are welcome and all denominations are welcome! This bible study will help to answer any questions of faith that you may have! The O’Neill Methodist Church is located at 404 Cedar Street in O’Neill, Nebraska.

  • Ongoing Fridays

    The Clothing Closet, located at the First Christian Church in Burwell, Nebraska, is open every Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome and all clothing is free. Clothing donations are also appreciated, and in-kind donations are encouraged. They also have a diaper program and offer help to foster parents. More information is available by calling Sonja at 308-750-7085.
