  • *Ongoing through Aug. 16th*

    O’Neill Assembly of God Church is hosting a diaper drive to bless parents in the community. From now through August 16th, packages of diapers can be dropped off at the church office, located at 712 East Clay Street in O’Neill, Nebraska. All sizes of diapers will be collected, and they’ll be given away at the church’s block party on August 22nd. Any questions can be directed to the church at 402-336-2272.

  • August 11

    The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Center, Nebraska on Tuesday, August 11th, from 12:00 until 6:00 p.m., at the Center Town Hall on Main Street.  All donors will a receive a gift card, and while supplies last, a free T-Shirt as well. Donors will also be entered into a drawing to win a pair of Nebraska Women’s Volleyball tickets. Walk-ins are always welcome, but if you would like to schedule an appointment, you can do so online at RedCrossBlood.org.

  • August 12

    A tribute for America’s 250th Anniversary will take place at the Knox County Fair in Bloomfield, Nebraska on Wednesday, August 12th. The ‘Sound of Freedom’ event will take place in the American Legion Pavilion beginning at 5:30 PM with performances by Faith Keepers & Just The Messengers. They will sing Christian and patriotic songs and honor veterans as we celebrate 250 years of freedom for our nation. A quilt raffle will take place that evening with proceeds going towards the building of the first home for homeless veterans in Northeast Nebraska.   • August 15

    Livin’ Out Loud is a free Christian music festival taking place Saturday, August 15th in Gothenburg, Nebraska. This year’s festival includes Danny Gokey, Megan Woods, Band Reeves, All The Noise, and Logan & Katie, and a message from speaker Aaron Davis. The music starts at 4:45 that afternoon, and they will also have a community worship service on Sunday on 10:00 a.m. More information is available online at LivinOutLoud.org.

  • August 16

    Sybrant Community Church will host their Back to School Blessing for K-12th grade students and families on Sunday, August 16th during their 11:00 AM service. A carry-in dinner will follow the service, along with games, a water slide and a bounce house. Hotdogs will be provided, but attendees are asked to bring a side, salad, or dessert to share. Sybrant Community Church is located near Bassett, Nebraska at 86192 456th Avenue.

  • August 16

    Prairie View Gospel Barn is hosting their 50th concert with Gold City Quartet on Sunday, August 16th at 6:30 PM in Gregory, South Dakota. Doors will open at 5:00 PM and supper will be available at the concession stand when the doors open. Tickets are $35 for advance tickets and $40 the day of the concert.     There will be a women’s gathering and ice cream social at the community hall in Butte, Nebraska on Saturday, August 22nd from 11:00 until 1:00. With the theme ‘Created to Create,’ ladies are invited to show off their creativity through quilting, sewing, crocheting, painting, or whatever hobby you enjoy. They will have ice cream with toppings, great conversations, and photo opportunities from 10:30 to 11:15. Don’t forget to bring your creations!     The O’Neill Assembly of God Church is hosting a Community Block Party on Saturday, August 22nd in the GPS Bank Parking Lot. There will be free games, inflatables, food, music, and so much more! The whole family is invited to come enjoy an evening of fun from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.

    A Freedom Dance honoring our nation’s heroes will take place on Saturday, August 22nd at the American Legion Pavilion in Bloomfield, Nebraska. The evening will consist of swing dance lessons, food, and fun. Dance lessons will begin at 6:00 PM, with the dance being from 7:00 until 11:00 PM. The only cost is a free will offering. A quilt raffle will also take place that evening with proceeds going towards the building of the first home for homeless veterans in Northeast Nebraska.   • August 23

    The Chamberlain Ministerial Association invites everyone to a community worship service at American Creek Park in Chamberlain, South Dakota on Sunday, August 23rd at 10:00 AM. Bring your own lawn chair and enjoy a morning of worship and fellowship. Refreshments will be served following the service, and a free-will offering will benefit the Ministerial Association’s Traveler’s Fund. In case of rain, the service will be held at the United Church of Christ, located at 101 North Merrill Street in Chamberlain.

    * All singers are welcome to be a part of the Community Church Choir that morning! Rehearsals will be held at 6:00 PM on August 13, 17, and 19 at Trinity Lutheran Church, with a final rehearsal at 9:00 AM the morning of the service.

    The Lindsay Holy Family Parish in Lindsay, Nebraska will be holding their annual bazaar on Sunday, August 23rd. A roast beef and sausage meal with dressing and all the trimmings will be served from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in their air-conditioned gym. They will also have a concession stand, farmers market, inflatables, and carnival games for all ages. Adult tickets are $15; children age 6 to 10 are $10; kids 5 and under are free.

  • August 28-30

    Sandhills Sage an up cycle rehab shop in Johnstown, Nebraska will celebrate their 20th anniversary with a “Falling for Fall” event August 28th through 30th. They’ll be open from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday, 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM on Saturday, and 1:00 until 4:00 PM on Sunday.     Nebraska Family Alliance’s Life and Liberty Gala will take place at the CHI Health Center Grand Ballroom in Omaha, Nebraska on Saturday, August 29th. This year’s speakers are Kirk Cameron and Riley Gaines. More details and ticket information is available at nebraskafamilyalliance.org.

    O’Neill Assembly of God and Chamber Community Church invite you to an open house honoring Pastor Mike and Patty Durre as they celebrate 20 years of ministry in O’Neill and the surrounding communities. An open house with cake will take place at the Assembly of God Church in O’Neill from 1:00 until 5:00 PM on Sunday, August 30th. The church is located at 204 North 7th Street in O'Neill, Nebraska.

    Phil Wickham & Jamie MacDonald will perform at this year’s Nebraska State Fair on Sunday, August 30th. The concert will take place at 6:00 PM inside the Heartland Event Center in Grand Island, Nebraska. Ticket information and other details can be found online at statefair.org.

    Christ Lutheran Church in O’Neill invites families and kids to join them for fun activities and a meal at their Christ Light kickoff on Wednesday, September 2nd at 5:30 p.m. Christ Light is a discipleship program for kids from pre-K through 8th grade, with a focus on sharing God's gift of His Son, Jesus, with all youth. Each Wednesday night begins with youth coming together in fellowship around a meal, before breaking into classes by age to discover the truth of God's love through His Word, and also grow with one another. This is done through Bible stories, activities, crafts, games, and more! Registration for Christ Light will be held at the kickoff on Wednesday, September 2nd, followed by a meal, games, and a chance for kids to meet their classes and teachers ahead of an exciting year of growing in joy with Jesus!

    A free Family Block Party will be taking place in Wausa, Nebraska on the Evangelical Covenant Church’s lawn on Saturday, September 5th from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. There will be games, activities, ice cream sundaes, and a hotdog buffet. The church is located at 600 East Grant Street in Wausa, Nebraska.

    The Wausa Evangelical Covenant Church’s Youth Group will be sponsoring a Tractor Drive on Saturday, September 5th. Participants will drive from Wausa, Nebraska to Magnet, Nebraska and back. Registration will be at 1:00 PM with the drive starting at 1:30 PM. The cost is $30, and more information is available by contacting the church at 402-586-2582. Other tractor events will take place near Wausa’s Gladstone park once they return from Magnet.

    River City Assembly of God in Yankton, South Dakota will have their 3rd annual River City Family Fest on Sunday, September 6 at 10:00 AM. The event will include worship, baptisms, a petting zoo, bouncy houses, games and food. Rhett Walker will kick off the event with worship and music, then head up to Sioux Falls where he will perform at LifeLight later that afternoon. River City Assembly of God is located at 801 West 25th Street, in Yankton.

    LifeLight Sioux Falls is returning to Nelson Park in Sioux Falls on Sunday, September 6th! This free Christian music festival will feature performances from Danny Gokey, Cochren & Co., KB, Rhett Walker, Emerson Day, Jesse Labelle, and Movement Worship, and messages from Willie Robertson and Josh Brewer.     The Roots of Revival Tour, led by Sean Fucht and the Let Us Worship Movement will be coming to the Mount Rushmore Memorial Amphitheater in Keystone, South Dakota on Monday, September 7th.     The Bluegrass, Southern Gospel group The Isaacs will be appearing at Schiferl’s WJ Ranch, located 7 miles south of Yankton, South Dakota on Friday, September 11th at 8:00 PM.     The Burwell Baptist Church will simulcast the 2026 Legacy Grandparenting Summit on Saturday, September 12th from 8:30 until 4:00. This summit is the only national conference focused on Christian grandparenting, and will equip you to invest intentionally in the lives of your grandchildren. Attendees will receive wisdom, hope, encouragement, and practical resources from several speakers known across the globe. Lunch and snacks will also be provided.     Christ Lutheran Church in O’Neill is offering a Financial Peace class starting Monday, September 14th at 6:45 PM. The class will meet in the fellowship hall.     The Evangelical Free Church of Concord, Nebraska will be a satellite host site for the Legacy Grandparent Summit on Saturday, September 26th from 9:00 AM until 4:30 PM. This is a national conference on Christian grandparenting. The theme this year is “A Heart for Eternity”. There will be nationally known speakers to encourage grandparents to teach and share their faith with their grandkids, and will help equip them with effective tools to do so.     The 12th Annual Thrive Women’s Conference will take place at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, Minnesota October 9-10th. The event will feature authors Lisa Bevere & Susie Larson, Martha Tennison, the group Substance Worship, and others.   • Ongoing Sundays

    A teens bible study will take place every Sunday evening at the O’Neill Methodist Church starting on January 11th. The Bible study with Pastor Bob Wynn will meet from 6:30 until 7:15 PM. All ages from 13 to 19 are welcome and all denominations are welcome! This bible study will help to answer any questions of faith that you may have! The O’Neill Methodist Church is located at 404 Cedar Street in O’Neill, Nebraska.

    A men’s bible study will take place at 9:00 AM every first Saturday of the month at Teal’s Westside Diner in O’Neill, Nebraska. This study is for high schoolers on up and men from every denomination or those seeking Christ. Any questions can be directed to Pastor Bob at 402-340-2447.

  • Ongoing Fridays

    The Clothing Closet, located at the First Christian Church in Burwell, Nebraska, is open every Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome and all clothing is free. Clothing donations are also appreciated, and in-kind donations are encouraged. They also have a diaper program and offer help to foster parents.
