  • May 14

    Sandhills MomCo (formerly known as MOPS) will have their next meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 14th at the Calamus Trinity Methodist Church in Burwell. All moms are welcome. Sandhills MomCo meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. Childcare is provided and there's no cost to attend. More information is available on the Sandhills MomCo Facebook page.

    Gospel and contemporary singing group, Westward Road, will be in concert at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15th at the First Baptist Church in Norfolk. The only cost is a free will donation. The church is located at 404 West Benjamin Avenue.

    A "Sound of Freedom" concert with Just the Messengers is taking place at The Evergreen in O’Neill, Nebraska this Sunday, May 17th at 2:30 p.m. They will sing Christian and patriotic songs and honor veterans as we celebrate 250 years of freedom for our nation.

    Beginnings Pregnancy Resource Center will have their Spring Fundraising Event on Sunday, May 17th at the O’Neill Community Center. This year’s theme is “Piercing The Darkness: Exposing The Cultural Lies About Sex & Relationships”. Doors will open at 6:30 PM, with the event being from 7:00 until 8:30. Admission is free. The O’Neill Community Center is located at 501 South 4th Street in O'Neill, Nebraska.

  • May 18

    A clean-up day at the Cemetery in Royal, Nebraska has been scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18th. If you can help, please bring your mower and weed eater. In case of rain the event will be held on May 19th.

  • May 17-21

    Christian Youth In Action North Impact Training will take place Sunday, May 17th through Thursday, May 21st at Camp Assurance near Belden, Nebraska. This five day training program is designed to equip middle school and high school students with the skills they need to confidently share the gospel with children in their community, at camps and VBS programs this summer.   • May 19 (RSVP by May 17)

    The next Yankton Area Women’s Connection meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 19th at 6:30 PM at the River Rock Event Center. Sylvana Airan, a Pakistani native, will share a special feature focused on Pakistani dress and present a message titled, “My two worlds from Pakistan to the USA”. The meal and program costs $15 & RSVP’s are required by May 17th. RSVP’s can be made by calling 402-254-2102 or 605-660-0378.   • May 31 - June 4

    Kids from the age of four through the 6th grade are invited to the Emerald Crossing Vacation Bible School. There will be games, snacks and more on this shepherd's journey across the Emerald Isle. Kids will also learn about Psalm 23. This event will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday May 31st with a picnic for the whole family. The Vacation Bible School will continue for kids from nine until noon Monday June 1st through Thursday June 4th at the Faith Community Church in O'Neill.     The 22nd annual Christian Cross Festival is returning to Norfolk, Nebraska’s Skyview Park on Saturday, June 6th. This free music festival will feature performances from Rend Collective, Leanna Crawford, Sean Rodriguez, The Band JAREN, Outcry Collective, & North Fork Revival.   • June 9 & 10

    The North Central RC&D office is holding a scrap tire collection event. This event will give residents a convenient and responsible way to dispose of unwanted tires. The event will be held at the O'Neill Recycling Center from nine until five on Tuesday, June 9th and then again from eight until four on Wednesday, June 10th. All sizes of car, truck, pivot, semi, and tractor tires can be brought to the event. Tire rims will not be accepted. Residents of Boyd, Brown, Cherry, Holt, Keya Paha, and Rock counties are encouraged to participate. There is no cost to bring tires. Tire retailers, as well as residents of South Dakota, are not eligible.     RiseFest is a two-day Christian music festival. It will take place in Sheldon, Iowa on Friday, June 12th and Saturday, June 13th. Josiah Queen, Ben Fuller, Terrian, Phil Wickham, Hulvey, Katy Nichole and others will perform. Ticket information is available at RiseMinistries.com.

    Big Daddy Weave’s “Let It Begin Tour” with Megan Woods & David Leonard will be coming to Grand Island, Nebraska on Thursday June 18th! The concert will take place at the GI Free Church, with doors opening at 6:00 PM and the concert beginning at 7:00. Ticket information is available online at BigDaddyWeave.com.


  • June 22 - 26

    Students entering the 5th through 9th grades are invited to the 2nd annual "Write On" Camp for young writers. It will be held June 22nd through the 26th at the B.E. Adkins Kiwanis Camp near Norfolk, Nebraska. The camp will run from nine a.m. until four p.m. that Monday through Thursday, and from nine until two on Friday. Students will get the chance to hear from professional writers, practice their own craft, build a community of writers, and be published in the first ever Write On literary magazine.   • June 27

    A mattress fundraiser benefiting the Christian Cross Festival will take place on Saturday, June 27th at Norfolk’s First Baptist Church from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. The church is located at 404 West Benjamin Avenue in Norfolk.

  • July 12

    The 4th Annual Faith & Family Night at the Dixon County Fair will take place on Sunday, July 12th in Concord, Nebraska. The event will feature performances by Tenth Avenue North and Cade Thompson! More information is available on the Faith & Family Production, INC Facebook page.

  • July 18 & 19

    LifeLight Hills Alive is returning to Memorial Park in Rapid City, South Dakota July 18th and 19th! This free music festival will feature performances from Anne Wilson, Sidewalk Prophets, Tenth Avenue North, KB, Remedy Drive, Stars Go Dim, Sean Rodriguez, Love & The Outcome, Eli Gable, and Presence Worship.     Phil Wickham & Jamie MacDonald will perform at this year’s Nebraska State Fair on Sunday, August 30th. The concert will take place at 6:00 PM inside the Heartland Event Center in Grand Island, Nebraska. Ticket information and other details can be found online at statefair.org.

  • September 6

    Rhett Walker is coming to River City Family Fest at the River City Assembly of God Church in Yankton, South Dakota on Sunday, September 6th! Rhett will help with worship and their baptism service. They will also have games, kids’ activities, and food. The event coincides with LifeLight in Sioux Falls, where Rhett will perform later in the day.

    LifeLight Sioux Falls is returning to Nelson Park in Sioux Falls on Sunday, September 6th! This free Christian music festival will feature performances from Danny Gokey, Cochren & Co., KB, Rhett Walker, Emerson Day, Jesse Labelle, and Movement Worship, and messages from Willie Robertson and Josh Brewer.     **JUST ANNOUNCED**

    TobyMac, Chris Tomlin, and Third Day are going on tour this fall, and they’re coming to Lincoln, Nebraska on Friday, November 20th. Their concert at Pinnacle Bank Arena will start at 7:00 p.m. Ticket information is available online at TobyMac.com.

  • December 5

    The “Christmas Together” Tour with Michael W. Smith and friends is coming to Lincoln, Nebraska on Saturday, December 5th. The concert will take place at the Pinnacle Bank Arena at 7:00 p.m. Ticket information is available online at MichaelWSmith.com.

  • Ongoing Sundays

    A teens bible study will take place every Sunday evening at the O’Neill Methodist Church starting on January 11th. The Bible study with Pastor Bob Wynn will meet from 6:30 until 7:15 PM. All ages from 13 to 19 are welcome and all denominations are welcome! This bible study will help to answer any questions of faith that you may have! The O’Neill Methodist Church is located at 404 Cedar Street in O’Neill, Nebraska.

  • Ongoing Saturdays

    A men’s bible study will take place at 9:00 AM every first Saturday of the month at Teal’s Westside Diner in O’Neill, Nebraska. This study is for high schoolers on up and men from every denomination or those seeking Christ. Any questions can be directed to Pastor Bob at 402-340-2447.

  • Ongoing Fridays

    The Clothing Closet, located at the First Christian Church in Burwell, Nebraska, is open every Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome and all clothing is free. Clothing donations are also appreciated, and in-kind donations are encouraged. They also have a diaper program and offer help to foster parents.
